At the Green Beret Foundation, we know that one of the most important ways we can honor and assist our warriors is by giving their families a welcoming and supportive community.
The wives, survivors, and caregivers of Green Berets are ‘the Quiet Professionals behind the Quiet Professionals,’ with needs as unique as those of their soldiers. The Steel Mags program, exclusive to the Green Beret Foundation, provides them with the unconditional support, access to critical resources, advocacy, and experienced guidance that they need in order to build successful and thriving lives for themselves and their families. As the wives, mothers, daughters, and sisters of Green Berets, the Steel Mags embody the warrior ethos as they face life’s challenges and adversity head-on.
We provide three scholarships for qualified dependents of Green Berets. The scholarships are: DOL1, DOL2, and DOL 3 Scholarships.
DOL1 - scholarship for the children and dependents of Green Beret noncommissioned officers. DOL2 - scholarship for the children and dependents of Green Beret warrant officers. DOL3 - scholarship for the children and dependents of Green Beret commissioned officers.
It is the Green Beret Foundation’s relentless commitment to the Special Forces Regiment and its families that makes this all possible through our continuing initiative to educate, engage, and empower Special Forces spouses nationwide. It is for this reason the Foundation has created the Athena Scholarship.
