The Athena Scholarship is awarded to spouses of Green Berets pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degrees. The Scholarship is intended to be used solely for tuition. Applicants must be the spouse of a current or former U.S. Army Special Forces soldier.

The Athena Grant accepts applications year-round.
The Green Beret Foundation is committed to supporting spouses with diverse career aspirations. Recognizing that not all paths require a college degree, we proudly provide the Athena Grant. This initiative covers expenses for vocational programs and professional development, ensuring every spouse has the opportunity to pursue their dreams.
- Funds cannot be used for study materials, tests, books, or housing.
- Spouses may apply for the Athena Grant once per rolling year and up to twice in a lifetime.
