What a great success the Steps ‘n Salutes Green Beret 5K has been these past four years and we are looking forward to another amazing event in 2022! We are also excited once again to compliment this amazing 5K with another running/walking event from which to choose – the Great American Relay. Both events have the goals of raising awareness of Green Berets and benefiting the Green Beret Foundation! So we invite you to consider being a part of either or both events which are being held on or are kicking off on September 11, 2022.
“DO IT FOR MY BROTHERS” – The 5K embraces a new “theme” this year as we honor the hero behind this event, Green Beret, Major Darren Baldwin, who passed away on December 23, 2021 from injuries sustained in combat. Before his passing, Darren shared these words encouraging efforts for raising awareness of Green Berets and funds for the Green Beret Foundation. It is with great pride and grateful hearts that we have adopted this theme for our 2022 5K in memory of Darren and honoring all Green Berets. Funds raised will benefit the Green Beret Foundation and its Major Darren Baldwin Silver Star Families Memorial Fund.
