Every year, millions of Americans gather to pay tribute to the soldiers who have passed away, show appreciation for those who are still serving and their families, and educate the younger generation about the value of freedom. This event is held in local, state, and national cemeteries across all 50 states, with the most recent one having taken place at 3,702 locations as part of National Wreaths Across America Day.
Arlington National Cemetery is the resting place for over 80 Green Berets, while several others are buried throughout the country. The Green Beret Foundation has a mission to care for the families of the fallen soldiers and provide assistance as they cope with their loss. By participating in Wreaths Across America, we can ensure that our fallen heroes are not forgotten, and that their families are honored.
National Wreaths Across America Day will be on Saturday, December 16th, 2023, and it is a free event open to the public.
