David Marshall served 20 years in the US Army, 13 of those were spent in the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Carson, Colorado, USA and Stuttgart, Germany. He served as the senior Weapons Sergeant on SFODA 046 that later was designated 0216 in 2008. He was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina at Camp Mackall, serving as a Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) cadre and was one of the coauthors of the SFAS 14-Day course as seen on the Discovery Channel’s “Two Weeks in Hell.” He finished out his career serving as the Team Sergeant for SFODB 0110 and the Headquarters and Headquarters Company Operations. During his time as a Team Sergeant, he was responsible for training, advising and assisting the NATO SOF Task Group called “SOTF-10” or “Task Force 10.” Under his guidance, leadership and unconventional approaches to problem solving on the battlefield, he mentored Romanian, Hungarian, Slovakian, Czech and Estonian SOF partner forces leadership, during the Global War on Terrorism. He currently serves as an Emergency Management Team Leader for the US Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM).
Mr. Marshall’s has conducted Special Forces capability trainings under the umbrella of Foreign Internal Defense to many European and Middle Eastern Special Operations Forces. His experience in Full Spectrum operations, Unconventional Warfare, Tactics, Mission Planning, Surveillance, Information Gathering, Force Protection measures and Cultural considerations have created an expanded proficiency in the units and soldiers he has trained; both in peace-time and war-time.
Mr. Marshall’s military education includes: The Special Forces Qualification Course (Weapons), Russian Basic Language Course, Special Forces Target Interdiction Course (SOTIC), Advanced Surveillance and Detection course, Covert and long-range Photography course, Survival Escape Resist and Escape (SERE) course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course, US Army Jumpmaster and Train the Trainer course, Executive Security International Course, Valhalla Advanced Marksmanship course, Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat Course, The John Reid Advanced Interviewing and Interrogation Course, US Army Anti-Armor Infantryman’s course and the US Army Airborne School.
Mr. Marshall holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and leadership; and currently resides in San Antonio, Texas. He is married to the former Ms. Rhonda Carreon of San Antonio. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, shooting, making music, bbqs and watching movies with his wife and their blended family of five kids and two dogs.
