Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) Joseph L. Fancher was born and raised in the farm country of Upstate New York. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1990. While in Special Forces, Command Sgt. Maj. Fancher served as a Special Forces Engineer Sergeant, Intelligence Sergeant, Special Operations Detachment Alpha Operations Sergeant, Battalion Operations Noncommissioned Officer, Special Forces Headquarters Support Company 1st Sergeant and in multiple positions as a Sergeant Major and Command Sergeant Major. Joe has numerous deployments to the Middle East and the Special Operations Command-South area of responsibility. He culminated his 32-year military career in 2022, serving as the Command Sergeant Major for U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School – The Special Operations Center of Excellence.
He earned his Master’s degree in Business and Leadership and is focused on a variety of initiatives that support Green Berets, family programs, education, conservation, agriculture, and community enrichment.
Joe is the Chief Executive Officer of Southern Style Farms, founder and Principal Director of Oak Ridge Charity and Outdoor Adventures, Chief Business Development Officer for Oak Grove Technologies, and serves as an advisor to several companies.
Joe is married to Nayda Fancher. The couple have two children.
