Paula Varga

Fort Bragg Area Veterans Services Officer

Paula Varga brings over 15 years of experience and service to the Special Forces Regiment as the wife of SGM(R) Billy Varga. Paula’s leadership within the 7th Special Forces Group(A) FRG was instrumental in the organization, support, and communication with the families during countless deployments worldwide. She has firsthand experience as a senior leader spouse in dealing with the tragic misfortune of losing a teammate and brother in combat. Her profound sense of empathy, energetic spirit and ever-joyful demeanor brings comfort to our service members and families that are passing through difficult times.

Paula’s professional experience is diverse and nests well with the mission of the Green Beret Foundation. She has vast experience as a mortgage and insurance professional as well as over 10 years as a senior caregiver. Her certifications relevant to the GBF mission include Certified Medical Office Assistant and NC Licensed Insurance Agent. She completed the US Army Senior Spouse Leader Course and has received numerous accolades for her support to the SF Regiment and 1st SFC. Paula is an accredited NACVSO, who in her role as a Veteran Service Officer will assist transitioning Green Berets in obtaining a better quality of life.

Paula has resided in the Fort Bragg, NC area since 1995 and is a dedicated mother, wife, and member of her church. Paula is bilingual (Portuguese) as a first-generation American citizen from Brazilian ancestry. She enjoys cooking, reading, and the outdoors and is passionate in her role as a Steel Mag and as an American Patriot.
