We are pleased to welcome three leaders into new roles at the Green Beret Foundation, bringing valuable experience and expertise to our team as we continue to grow and advance our mission in support of the U.S. Army Special Forces community.
Jenna returns to GBF after previously serving four years as Director of Marketing and Communications. In this expanded leadership role, she will lead brand strategy, communications, public relations, media partnerships, and audience engagement. With more than a decade of experience and a personal connection to the Special Forces community, Jenna is energized to return to GBF and contribute to the Foundation’s continued growth and impact.
“Returning to GBF feels like coming home to a community that has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been inspired by the resilience, adaptability, and determination of the Special Forces community. I’m grateful to return with new perspective and experience, and to have the opportunity to help strengthen the Foundation’s voice, expand our reach, and continue building meaningful connections with those who support our mission. Most importantly, I’m proud to continue supporting the Green Berets and families at the heart of everything we do.”
— Jenna Angues, Managing Director, Communications & Brand Engagement
Jennifer brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience across higher education and extensive work with military support organizations. Before joining the Green Beret Foundation, she held senior leadership roles leading fundraising, strategic operations, stakeholder engagement, advisory councils, stewardship, and high-impact events, including extensive work supporting military service members and their families across multiple states. She will lead development strategy, donor and partner engagement, and the continued growth of GBF’s strategic events portfolio.
“Having lived the military family experience myself, I know how much it means to have people who show up, and the Green Beret Foundation does exactly that. It’s a focused, tight-knit organization with real and lasting impact, and I’m proud to help our supporters see the difference they make for Green Berets and their families.”
— Jennifer Thompson, Managing Director, Development & Strategic Events
Carrie brings more than 15 years of experience coordinating events, executive priorities, sponsor commitments, and complex initiatives. She will support the planning and execution of GBF events while helping create meaningful experiences for our supporters, partners, and community.
“I’m grateful to be joining the Green Beret Foundation and to contribute to such a special community. I’ve spent many years in the nonprofit space, and I’m excited to bring those experiences to a team and mission that are so deeply committed to serving others. The strength, humility, and genuine sense of community within the Green Beret family have already shown through. I look forward to learning from this resilient community, growing alongside the team, and being a part of the important work ahead.”
— Carrie Alford, Manager, Events
“Welcoming Jenna Angues back to the Green Beret Foundation after a brief time away as our new Managing Director, Communications & Brand Engagement, alongside Jennifer Thompson as Managing Director, Development & Strategic Events and Carrie Alford as Manager, Events, marks an exciting step forward for our mission. These leaders bring exceptional ability, a deep passion for service, and a shared commitment to promoting strength in mind, body, and spirit for the Special Forces warfighter and family.
I have tremendous confidence in their ability to strengthen our voice, deepen relationships, and inspire the support that turns our mission into meaningful action. Together with our dedicated staff, they give us the leadership, talent, and organizational structure to meet the challenges facing the Regiment and its families. As we prepare to celebrate the Regiment’s 75th anniversary in 2027, this team positions the Foundation for unprecedented success and ensures we honor that legacy through an enduring commitment to those who carry it forward. Fortiores Una.”
