MainNerve, a privately held cybersecurity company, sponsors team to honor charity that supports Special Forces and their families.

March 20, 2015 – Colorado Springs, CO. MainNerve announced today it will be sponsoring the Odyssey/MainNerve adventure racing team in a series of races, some of which will serve as qualifiers for World Championships. Most races will be televised and streamed live on Facebook.

Shane Hagerman, Team Capatin for Team Odyssey/MainNerve will race along with Mark Lattanzi, Andy Bacon, Charlie Roberts, Ronny Angel, Sara Dallman, Jennifer Moos, Alex Provost and JD Eskelton. These elite athletes have raced together since 2009, winning National Championships in 2010 and qualifying for international events.

The adventure race is a multi-sport activity typically lasting from four hours to several days. The premiere class is co-ed elite with a team made up of three or four people. The team stays together throughout the race, usually within 100 feet or less, and includes running, trekking, orienteering, mountain biking, paddling and sometimes rappelling or ascending on fixed ropes. Most races are self supported and everything is navigation centric – the team moves constantly from one point to the next using a map and compass.

“Our goal is to become one of the top teams in the world in Adventure Racing in the next three years. As we go on this journey we want to represent Odyssey Adventure Racing, Main Nerve and our other sponsors, supporters, the Green Beret Foundation and the United States at the world level,” says Team Captain and Green Beret Shane Hagerman.

“This partnership allows our team to showcase Main Nerve on an innovative marketing platform — literally a moving billboard. The financial assistance MainNerve provides assists us to race at the international level,” says Hagerman.

MainNerve CEO, a retired Green Beret and a founder of the Green Beret Foundation (GBF) says he is proud of the Team Odyssey/MainNerve in everything they have accomplished so far. “These incredible men and women are representing our country and the GBF with incredible spirit, and we are proud to sponsor such incredible efforts,” says Parkman.
